When your Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) treatment starts, you may feel slight pressure in your ears during compression and decompression, which you can alleviate by opening your mouth or swallowing and popping your ears. Once you reach the treatment pressure, you won’t feel anything during the rest of the treatment.
At the Hyperbaric Center for Advanced Healing, we go a step further to ensure that all our patients are comfortable in our state-of-the-art hyperbaric chambers.
Clear Monoplace Hyperbaric Chambers
This is one of the most popular styles of hyperbaric chambers. The patient lies on a tray that slides in and out of a clear acrylic tube from one end. The treatment lasts 90 to 120 minutes, during which time you will be lying down.
For comfort, our gurney is configured in a way that lets you rest in a reclined position. We may also provide you with pillows upon request. In addition, all treatment rooms come with video entertainment systems for you to watch TV or movies through the clear acrylic covering.
If you like, you can also listen to music of your choice via our hi-tech speaker system, or just sleep. Our goal is to help you relax during the treatment.
Readily Available Professional Assistance
For our new patients who are not familiar with the treatment, feel free to ask our hyperbaric specialists any questions. They’ll be with you in the room or chamber at all times to monitor the treatment.
